Bygones is about the gray area where the present becomes the past. The series uses the imagery of religious iconography to bring together the opposites of childhood and adulthood. It collages contrasting materials — natural (soil and plants) and simulated (fake plants and resin) as well as contrasting imagery from sex and fashion magazines and children’s books, and simulates a sacred place.

Up Up and Above uses icon Ladder of the Divine Ascent as its inspiration. The icon represents the process of reaching towards the divine.

Honey is Here refers to the Russian icon Our Lady of the Sign, and represents the immaculate conception. The hands of the Virgin are in orans position of pleading and praying.
