With the increased geographical distance between the land and the person, there is a change in the relationship between the two, as the new vantage point allows for a different understanding.  Being a foreigner amplifies one's "American-ness,"  one's status as the Other.

Amerika Luvs Ya is a web-based video project, which deals with my own move abroad.  This project was modeled after an art school exercise, where a student paints one painting a day, thus forcing her to work quickly and intuitively.
